This four-bladed vaneaxial fan is called a Jet Fan because a high-velocity jet of compressed air is ejected from the trailing edge of the blade, as shown in the diagram. This results in the forward rotation of the fan wheel just like a jet plane is pushed forward by the high-velocity jet ejected from the rear of the jet engine. |
16" Jet Fan. This four-blade design produces higher air flows at lower RPM's which increases bearing life. It can be used as a blower or exhauster. An optional adapter plate can be purchased for use with Butterworth Flanges onboard ships. See picture of optional flange.
